PWT Group acquires Junk de Luxe.

PWT Group – a major Danish men’s wear company – has acquired the Junk de Luxe brand from the fashion company Minimum.

Ole Koch Hansen, CEO at PWT Group, characterizes Junk de Luxe as a strong brand; “We are very pleased with the acquisition of Junk de Luxe. We have great expectations for the brand – and we have big respect for the heritage of Junk de Luxe.” Ole Koch Hansen says.

PWT Group has a brand portfolio consisting of renowned men’s wear brands such as Lindbergh, Shine Original and Bison. The group is also behind the two men’s fashion retail chains, Tøjeksperten and Wagner.

“We are planning for the first PWT-developed Junk de Luxe collection to hit retail in Spring 2015. It’ll be in the form of a small express-collection, the first time.

We have decided to take our time, completing the full process of creating a future top brand, in Junk De Luxe. Therefore, the first full scale Junk De Luxe collection we’ll present will be Autumn 2015. Our objective is to continue working with the strong brand DNA of Junk de Luxe while focusing on getting the styles delivered in very good qualities“ PWT’s Hansen says.

Junk de Luxe activities will be moved from Aarhus to PWT’s base in Aalborg.

Junk de Luxe was founded in 1986. At the very beginning, the brand was a European pioneer when they began to import original vintage jeans from the U.S.
